Si le Pamplemousse est très apprécié sur nos tables en jus ou à déguster frais, il est aussi très utile en phytothérapie et en aromathérapie. On l'utilise alors sous plusieurs formes :
- Huile Essentielle : Toujours diluée pour éviter les irritations, l'Huile Essentielle de Pamplemousse, avec son parfum fruité peut-être utilisée de différentes façons :
1. En inhalation ou en diffusion : la diffusion permet de purifier l'air, de parfumer agréablement votre intérieur et de créer une atmosphère de relaxation ;
2. Par voie cutanée : l'Huile Essentielle de Pamplemousse peut être appliquée en massage sur la peau, diluée dans une huile végétale en cas de fatigue physique ou de digestion difficile. Il faut toutefois être prudent et ne pas s'exposer au soleil car c'est une huile photosensibilisante ;
3. Par voie orale : cette huile peut-être utilisée diluée sur un support pour un usage interne. Cet usage est toutefois réservé à l'adulte et doit être de courte durée.
-Infusion: les zestes de Pamplemousse, contenant son essence sont couramment utilisés pour aromatiser des infusions. Pour cela, déposer une poignée de zeste ou d'un mélange de plantes dans une théière puis y verser de l'eau frémissante. Laisser infuser quelques minutes avant de boire.
